Breathing & Sinking the Qi

Daily life, stress, nervous system overload,
And the way our society and culture works supports the opposite. So to sink within and to rest, be at ease within our body is not a small thing at all.
To find ease, even in the face of a stressful situation, to be at peace with ourselves, so that when we close our eyes and enter our inner world we find somewhere that we love to be for a considerable length of time, are all signs of being able to sink the qi.
We will utilise the new moon of this weekend to look at stillness work, in particular our relationship to the breath.
We will explore reverse breathing, 4 gates breathing, Dan Tian breathing, and breath retention.
Correct released and โat easeโ breathing is not something we can โdoโ! In fact the very act of trying to improve our breathing will create tension as we will immediately engage and incorrect aspect of our mind.
So instead we will explore the causes that will create the outcome of our breathing deepening and releasing, thereby taking our
Nei Gong training to the next level.
What is included in your retreat:
16 hours (approx.) of training including sitting practice, Nei Gong, forms, body conditioning, lectures, Q&A sessions and environmental training.
Use of heated, low-chemical indoor pool โ helpful for releasing the joints/aches.
Own/shared room in the retreat centre; all linen/towels supplied (if residential).
High quality vegetarian, local, mostly organic food; most diets catered for (just ask); snacks, teas, fruit, etc. included.
Zafus, cushions, blankets & bolsters for sitting practice provided.
